God’s Spirit is being released to all Australians who ticked ‘Christian’ in the Census…

Diep-Thanh Lee, Senior Pastor, Hope of Glory, Prahran Christian Church received this vision during worship at the  Australian- New Zealand-Pacific 24/7 Prayer Leaders’ Summit on 2 June 2014 – just before Pentecost.

The vision:

I saw a vision of a Mist that looked like a stream of white cloud moving steadily but swiftly. At first I thought it was the Glory Cloud of God. (2 Chronicles 5:14)*

I  saw this Mist going through closed doors of homes around the nation and heard the Father say,  “The Israelites were released after the angel of death came to their homes. By contrast, I am releasing the Spirit of Life, my BREATH, into those who have identified with me, even just with my name. I will cause them to awaken to their destiny in my Son, and willingly they will come out of their homes and step into the Promised Kingdom.”

The Lord reminded me of the Scripture in Isaiah 65:1 “I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me, I was found by those who did not seek me.  To a nation that did not call on my name….” Then He said: “How much more will I reveal myself to those who have identified with me, even just by name?”

I was overwhelmed by His unfathomable Kindness and Grace, and His Love and Passion for us.  He will even respond to the nominal assent by Australians who made a little tick in a box against ‘Christian’ on a Census paper!!!!! How amazing is our Father???

The background to this vision:

In the Australian Census of 2001, 68% of Australians identified themselves as Christians.  In 2003/4 I was lamenting and praying about how many of these are active believers.  In worship that night the Lord asked me,  “Can you believe that I will awaken ALL of their hearts?” As a local body we have been praying into it.  We see a coming revival that permeates through all who call themselves ‘Christian’!

I recognised the significance of the timing of this vision – given when prayer leaders from many nations were gathered in the week of Pentecost!!!
Acts 1:4-5,9  wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about….in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” …you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

[*Our note: ‘Powers’ as in Ephesians 6:12 appear as mist over a person or region. The Mist in this vision represents the power of God released among us this Pentecost.]

The invitation:

Jesus is inviting us to believe and stand in agreement with Him to release His LIFE, His BREATH into all ‘Christian’ people.

  • Will you and your church, prayer groups, prayer networks, join in ONE SPIRIT to pray that Jesus will be received when He enters homes across our nation? Pray for specific nominal ‘Christians’ by name.
  • Will you pray for harvest workers to enter the ripe harvest? We can partner with God’s Spirit to fulfil this vision. In appropriate conversations we can bring up the Census to ask people what they ticked in the Religion section and whether they would like to know more about the abundant life Christ offers all!

Note: 24/7  Prayer Leaders Summit
Australian -New Zealand -Pacific 2 June 2014 in Sydney

Leaders  from each state of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific met in a Prayer Summit with Daniel Lim and Rick Ruopp from the International House of Prayer, Kansas City.

We invited those called who are building Houses of Prayer  for fervent day and night (24/7) prayer over our regions. Two thirds of the leaders of Houses of Prayer were senior pastors -which showed us this day and night prayer movement is deeply integrated into local churches. We met in glorious reconciliation, humility, tender love and glorious grace. If you would like to know the contacts from your region, just ask. We plan to hold a local gathering for people from Victoria. Please pray for the 24/7 prayer  movement to rise up and release God’s kingdom in our nations.
