Love Revolution: the Gospel according to Jesus. Sue Tinworth

1. Revelation: Transformation comes with revelation, not Time.1

Revolution (revolutio, ‘a turn around’) can accelerate fundamental transformation of a society’s class, state, ethnic or religious structures. Revolutions occur when people turn away from governance systems that treats people unfairly, that lie, accuse, suppress, kill, steal and destroy. Revolutionaries turn when revelations spark new perspectives. People turn to trusted leaders who offer fresh hope and vision of a new way to live.

Bloodshed is a harsh reality of revolution, acting simultaneously as a symbol, catalyst for change, tool of repression, mark of identity, and sacrificial offering – life willingly given for the freedom of the people.

2.Revelation: God’s Love is Revolutionary!

Our love revolution
happened when we were struck by the revelation and relief that the power of God’s love overturns injustice, disappointment, despair, hopelessness, loss and destruction in family, community, society and nations in our world!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

We want to tell everybody, “God knew you and loved you before you did a thing!”

As revolutionaries in God’s love revolution, we look up for revelation to the One who first loved us, the One we love, the One love looks like. (1 John 4:8,19)

3.Revelation: God so Loved the World He Made a Love Covenant with Us All!

This love covenant deal
was made with mankind in the blood of God’s Son, Yeshua who was born to a Jewish mother between 6 BC and 4 BC.

Matthew 1:20-21 “an angel of the Lord… saying… “ that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
John 1:14 “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

Thousands of years before Yeshua’s birth, hundreds of details about his life on earth were foretold. We can access these ancient records, as well as incredibly detailed narratives, written by multiple eyewitnesses about Yeshua’s life and death – because these documents have been collated as the Bible.

Previous performance based covenants were made by God with humans, to point them toward this love covenant. God’s laws were given to save us from the anarchy of lawlessness. (1 John 3:4, Titus 2:4, Hebrews 1:9, 2 Thessalonians 2:7-10) It also proved that none of us can live a perfect life according to the law!

The love covenant between our Creator, who is Spirit, and the whole human race was based on God’s grace, rather than our ability to keep the law, because the Son of God and Son of Man came to fulfil the requirements of the law for us! (Matthew 5:17, Romans 8:2, Hebrews 4:15). Yeshua lived an exemplary life but was crucified as a criminal, bearing the consequence of our sins, dying in our place, for the forgiveness of our sin.(1 Corinthians 1:29-31, Romans 4:7-8)
Matthew 26:28 “For this is My blood of the new covenant, …shed for many for the remission of sins.”

4.Revelation: There’s a man in the trinity!1

The power of God’s glory resurrected His Son and raised Him and the Son of Man ascended to his Father and the victorious role of Lord of Lords and King of Kings over all the heavens and earth!

Death is no longer the inevitable end for human beings like us! When we give our life to Jesus, his death and resurrection is ours and we too are raised up! (Ephesians 2:6)

5.Revelation: The Accuser Will Not Tell You Who You Really Are!

We have all sinned. (Romans 3:23) But “sinner” is not our true identity once we have repented of sin, turning from our waywardness to ask Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour.
We have received His forgiveness and His power over sin. We are now citizens of the kingdom of heaven. So it’s time to stop agreeing with the accuser. (Revelation 12:19)
Colossians 1:13-14 “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”

Have you come into agreement with who God says you are? Do you see others, even your enemies, through His perspective? God loves every one and doesn’t want anyone to perish. (2 Peter 3:9) If you have believed and accepted Jesus as your Saviour, God sees you as righteous, through the righteousness of Christ. God comes to dwell in us and we’ll never be separated from his love. (Romans 8:31-39)

When you believe this revelation about who you are now, it’s easier to accept God’s empowerment and become an overcomer! (Colossians 1:27-28, 3:11, 1John 5:20, Psalm 132:16)

Through Jesus we can now have a personal relationship with God. The Holy Spirit takes us through spiritual rebirth and reveals to us that we are God’s children and he is a good Father.
We able to reflect His likeness and bring glory to Him. (Galatians 4:4-7)
Declare Ephesians Chapter 1 with gratitude to God for all He has done for you and all of us!

6.Revelation: Jesus is not interceding to change the Father’s view of us.1

That’s established! Jesus and the Holy Spirit are interceding with us to change our opinion of God.1 (Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:26-27)
We hear Jesus asking, “Do you believe me?” “Will you trust me?” “Do you love me?” “Do you know my voice?” Will you invite me into you, to fellowship with you?” (Revelation 3:20)

7.Revelation: We can trust Jesus to Take Care of His Body!1

When we yield to the Son of God as the head of us, his body, we become one with each other. The Son of Man, intimately understands our human frailty, joys and needs, and takes care of us, as his body,1 – all our aching, stiff and dysfunctional parts. Daily our humble, gracious Lord feeds us, sings us to sleep, washes, leads, equips, heals and matures us, plans our best outcomes and fights our battles for us.

8.Revelation: Being One in Christ beats Denominational Unity.

Over time unity movements have proven we can’t achieve unity with God and each other by human strength or religious power. Our efforts produce humanitarian compromise, exclusivity based on persuasion of religious doctrines, rules or standards; uniformity through coercion, suppression and striving; and relationships broken by judgement, division and exclusion.
[In 2023 The Center for Study of Global Christianity estimated roughly 47,300 denominations.]

If we look to the Lord, rather than looking at others, we immediately find we are one in Spirit, with those who are one with Him. (1 Corinthians 12:4-13)

9.Revelation: We Must Remain in Union with our Father and His Son.

The phrase, ‘remain united’ struck us in John, 1 John & 2 John in the Complete Jewish Bible,  but the call to remain in union’1is even sweeter!
The power of God’s glory that raised Jesus to His Father also raises us to remain in unionwith our Father and His Son and Holy Spirit, in theirperspective, purpose, victory, holiness and shalom wholeness in abundant eternal life!
God is not distant and separate from us. He dwells in us. (Ephesians 2:19-22)

We are made to commune, dwell, live and remain in union with our Father, Son & the Holy Spirit. (Acts 17:23b-28, John 17:20-26, Romans 8:9-11, 2 Corinthians 13:5, Ephesians 3:14-21, Galatians 2:20)

1 John 2:24 CJB Let what you heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you will also remain in union with both the Son and the Father.”

John 14:6 TPT Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too.

John 15:4-5 TPT So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you— but when you live separated from me you are powerless.”

10.Revelation: God’s Glory Enables Us to Be One and Reveal His Love to the World.

KEY WORD: John 17:22-23And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

The oneness that Jesus speaks of, comes as a supernatural grace and consequence, as we turn to behold our Beloved Father, Son & Spirit and rest in them.

2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

We are reformed, revelation by revelation, as we saturate in God’s astonishingly kind powerful, compelling, transforming love.

As we remain in union with our God, we are part of a constant love exchange that causes a revolution inside us, our will surrendering to His; His will leading us, enabling us to exchange lies for Truth and to flow with His leading. Now, we stay tuned to His voice so we can pray, say and do what our Father, Saviour and Spirit are doing, when and how they say to do it, one in alignment.
God’s love fills and overflows us as we see ourselves and each other and our neighbour and our enemies as God does.

11.Revelation: We are Sent as Spirit-led Love Ambassadors

Now in 2026, there is a revolutionary turn around in which kingdom reigns in us and on earth. And it is happening through revelation.

We have grown mature, secure in our identity in the love of our Father (Romans 8:14-16, 1 John 3:1); equipped in Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16); having the authority of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20); and the Sword of the Spirit to make the written and spoken Word alive, powerful, and applicable. So when the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon us we will be witnesses, “ambassadors to make known the mystery of the gospel…” (Hebrews 4:12, Acts 1:4-5,8, Ephesians 6:19-20)
Acts 26:17-18 “I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”

We will more easily discern our part and have our calling confirmed if we remain in union with God and each others. Where, when and with whom will the Holy Spirit send you to restore God’s kingdom to the land and people? Stay alert to recognise the two or three you are to pray and go with!

12.Revelation: Neighbourly Love Establishes God’s Kingdom!

When two or three of us gather in Jesus’ name, with Christ in our midst, we are his ecclesia, as representatives of his kingdom, to discern and pray in agreement with our Father’s willand see His kingdom come on earth as in heaven.(Matthew 6:10, 16:16-20, 18:19-20, 21:31)

We are being filled to overflowing with the glory of God’s love for each other in His body and for our ‘neighbours,’ our world. So, as his sent ones, we can release God’s love – the blessing of His kingdom reign – everywhere we go. (Luke 10:11)

Jesus’ plan is very clear in Luke 10:1-41. He says our love of God and our neighbours will turn their hearts to God and overturn the reign of personal demons, spirits and territorial powers and principalities. We too will rejoice to see God’s kingdom come in our regions!

As in Luke 10, we will pray and go as Jesus’ disciples, two by two, where we are led. In these places (homes, churches, schools, gyms, workplaces and shops…) we’ll find those who are ready to encounter the Father’s love for them, through us, and be set free by God’s forgiveness and our forgiveness. (1 John:1, Matthew 18:10-17, 21-35) In places where people are ready, “men of peace” will receive us and shepherd what God is doing. (2 Timothy 2:2)

As we go, the Holy Spirit will leave a trail of our Lord’s love and deposits of His tangible Presence – permanent wells of glory for those who thirst for righteousness so God will have dwelling places everywhere! (Matthew 6:6, Psalm 132:4-5)

13.Revelation: How the Earth will Fill with the Glory of God!

These precious communities will experience fresh revelation of God’s love and glory. The gentle conviction and encouragement of the Holy Spirit and the blessing of power filled encounters will lead many to the Lord, filling them with the knowledge of God and overflow with His glory. Our Almighty Lord of Hosts stations angels who will lead them in worship and outreach and watch over the presence of God in each new place, so his beloved remain in union with our Lord, in encounter, revelation, wholeness, healing and overflowing love.

This love revolution will fill the earth with the glory of the knowledge of God. (Habakkuk 2:14)
