• Never mind the naysayers: Franklin Graham’s visit is good news for Australia

Franklin Graham Tour Perth Report by Wendy Francis ACL State Director for Qld, NT. As the crowds poured into the RAC Arena in Perth I could only watch in gratitude and gratefulness to God that there remains a hunger to hear His word preached in Australia. The arena’s capacity is 15,000. Whilst I have not seen any official figures, I would find it hard to believe there was less than 12,000 in attendance.The music from Planetshakers and then the David Crowder Band had something for everyone, and the young people up on their feet. But it was the quietness that descended on the crowd when Franklin Graham started to speak that was the most telling. His message was simple, but profound. The response was something to behold. My prayer is that our churches will step up to the task of discipleship that is needed and that the other cities around our nation will follow the lead of Perth and come out to hear from God in song and in word.More info at https://grahamtour.billygraham.org/

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is investing deeply in our nation – employing teams of Australian leaders in each city to equip us for harvest.

Our Father in heaven,

We repent on behalf of our nation for our resistance to receiving  Jesus.

We repent, on behalf of the Church, for being ashamed of the gospel and unwilling to trust God enough to bring our friends to a public Christian event – even though they are lonely, empty, fearful and lost.

We humbly acknowledge we will not see a full harvest in February 2019– unless we open our hearts and the gates of our nation to receive God’s gift to us.  May we bring our friends to hear the gospel, shared through the Graham Tour in our cities and online, and may many be brought to Christ.

We say, “Come Lord Jesus! Come, Franklin Graham & the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association team and help us, the Australian church to share hope and the simple gospel with our friends.”

We pray for hope  in our family, friends and souls across Australia  – so they will come with us to the hear the gospel.

We pray they will receive your gift of faith  – so they can grasp your love and receive Jesus as their personal Saviour.
