Preparation for Intercession & Outreach

Please form a small group or gather with others to first seek the Lord’s face to worship Him on behalf of your region.  Over time, God will prepare your heart and perspective so you can let go of human judgement and offence to love these people and land with God’s love, revelation, understanding and priorities. Then God’s Spirit will lead you as a group to intercede the way Jesus and Holy Spirit are praying. And later God may lead you in how and when and with whom you will serve internationally.

Pray for the Nations

• Pray for God’s chosen people Israel and their promised land.

• Pray daily for Jesus’ kingdom to come so we fulfil God’s purpose in The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit – Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea and Papau, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji and Samoan Islands.

• Pray for the Olympics who are coming to Australia again in 2032
  Based on the context of preparations and prayers for the Olympics, here are prayers for the upcoming 2032 Brisbane Olympics, drawing from the “Believe. Belong. Become” vision and community intentions:
  
  A Prayer for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics 
  • For Preparation and Unity:
    “God of all nations, we pray for the planners, officials, and workers preparing for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Grant them wisdom, foresight, and a spirit of collaboration to create a, sustainable, and joyful event that unites our city, state, and nation.”
  • For the “Believe. Belong. Become” Vision:
    “Lord, as Brisbane prepares to host the world, may this Games vision inspire athletes to believe in their potential, help residents to feel a sense of belonging in their community, and empower our region to become a greater, more inclusive, and sustainable place for all.”
  • For Safety and Sustainability:
    “We pray for the safety of all who will build, travel to, and participate in these Games. Guide our leaders to make wise decisions regarding infrastructure that respect our environment and serve the community long after the closing ceremony.”
  • For Community Spirit and Inclusion:
    “Creator God, we pray that these Games will be a celebration of diversity, honoring the First Nations people of this land and welcoming visitors from around the globe with warmth and equality.”
  • For the Athletes:
    “Lord, bless the athletes who are training with dedication. May they stay safe from injury, compete with integrity, and find joy in the pursuit of excellence.”
