Instead of prayer & fasting this will be a 40 Days Prayer & Worship Relay. Your prayer will contribute to continuous 24/7 worship and prayer for Australia from 1 March – 9 April 2017! You will receive daily devotionals as usual. Our focus will be Acts 1:8 “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be My witnesses…” There is more information, free Posters and other resources at www.40daysofprayer.com.au

This new website will collate the 40 Days Prayer & Worship Relay gatherings across our nation. PrayforAustralia.com.au will continue to connect prayer beyond the 40 Days. You can return to the site any time to register existing or new prayer meetings. Would you consider registering your times of prayer; your current prayer groups or hosting prayer gatherings during the 40 Days? People will set aside regular daily times, weekly times, special days or weekends and some churches and networks will host 24 hours of prayer!
When you register prayer meetings you’ll be asked questions about the contact details of the coordinator; and the days, times, frequency and address of your gathering. Is it a public meeting – open for others to join; a private meeting; or one people can join by invitation or inquiry to the coordinator? Is your gathering a local church prayer meeting; home based prayer meeting; marketplace prayer meeting (workplace, uni etc); or churches uniting to pray together?
We will notify you when the full Pray for Australia website is accessible! Prayer meetings will be visible on a Google Calendar and as flames on a Google Map of Australia. This will enable other locals to join you! If you are looking for a prayer group you’ll be able to use the flames on the map to guide you to a prayer gathering. Local leaders will be able to contact with each other for encouragement – and partner in regional gatherings or even collaborate in a regional 24/7 relay! It is amazing to realise that even 40 churches, each hosting 24 hours, can cover your region continuously in 24/7 prayer & worship! You can simply organise 12-24 people to pray for 1-2 hours each in their homes or one location. Churches can open their doors for people to freely come and go. Local churches can collaborate – e.g. with different leaders hosting prayer & worship sequential.
This year, 10am-4pm Saturday 25 February, The National Day of Prayer & Fasting will be celebrated in local churches and collaborative regional Prayer & Worship gatherings across Australia. www.nationaldayofprayer.com.au
