Vision Statement
Our vision is to see restoration and wholeness being released, the healing waters flowing across our land and nation. So we are calling for an Australian National Solemn Assembly (ANSA), inviting all Australian Indigenous Nations to unite together in one voice and rise to their destiny. We invite all Australians to walk with us in this.
“Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord.” Joel 1:14
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Why “In His Presence”?
God is everywhere but his Presence – the weight of His glory, anointing and power – only manifests at his discretion. The Almighty One responds, by grace to those who seek his face – intimacy in his Presence. (Psalm 24)
Through Christ, we have been given the privilege to know our Father (John 4:6) and to be able to come before his throne of grace with confidence. (Hebrews 4:16) Jesus is the Way and has opened the Way we can encounter the living God and live in his Presence.
We seek his Presence for his sake, so we may minister to him – “loving the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength.” (Mark 12:30)
We seek his Presence to contemplate the Lord’s glory and be “transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
In his Presence we discern what is on the heart of the Father, what Jesus would do, what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. In his Presence we will learn to hear and rely on the conviction, comfort and leading of the one who has been given to accompany us, the blessed Holy Spirit.
We seek his Presence so we can be filled to overflow with the power of our Father’s love for every soul so we love our neighbours as ourselves and fulfil Jesus new command to love one another as we have been loved so the world knows we are Jesus’ disciples. (Ephesians 3:14-21, Mark 12:31, John 13:34-35)
“Intimacy is a key to greater spiritual authority and power.” Leif Heitland & Paul Yado Soaking in HIs Presence Training Manuel. Introduction.
When Jesus commissions us as his disciples, his assures us is that his Presence will be with us as we go.
Matthew 28:19-20 “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
We have probably all had experiences of trying to go in our own strength and our own understanding – its dry fairly fruitless effort. Moses was determined not to go unless God’s Presence went with them.
Exodus 33:12-12 ‘Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.” The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence.”’
The Presence of God was with them day and night. (Psalm 78:14)
Why Acts 1:8? “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses…”
We sense the imminent momentum of a move of God. We need to be prepared with oil in or lamps, fire in our bellies and power to be witnesses of who Jesus is and all that he is offering to the people around us. We need to pray and go (Luke 10:2-3); to link pray-ers and evangelists as in revivals of old. (e.g. Daniel Nash) Jesus wants us to be his disciples and to make disciples who clearly articulate the gospel and invite people to receive Jesus as their Lord and to be Spirit led to the right persons with the right word at the right time and operate in Holy Spirit power to heal and in signs and wonders.
Why Read Through the Book Acts?
During these 40 days the daily devotions will be drawn from sequential reading of the Book of Acts. The power of the Word of God is quickened to us as we dwell in it consistently – letting the whole story unfold and the whole power flow through us.
Our focus is not the Acts of the Apostles but the Acts of the Holy Spirit. We set ourselves aside for time in God’s presence. Our focus is encountering God through His Holy Spirit. We seek the Giver – not just His gifts, fruit, authority and power.
The Books of Acts and Luke were written to Theophilus – “the lover of God.” Is this you?
Acts reminds us of the reality that encounter with the living Christ is still available to all. We too can be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus’ power is available to be released through ordinary people like us. It is our destiny, duty and delight to receive the Holy Spirit and His power. Only then can we be witnesses who present the full gospel of Jesus and release the kingdom of Jesus to our neighbours – locally and throughout the earth.
Forgiveness Week
For over 12 years Aboriginal Christians have gathered for Forgiveness Week in Beswick Northern Territory. They celebrated this again in September. Forgiveness is a vital step in restoring relationships between Indigenous families and tribes toward national repentance and reconciliation. Many other regions across Australia are now also hosting Forgiveness Weeks. See the impact Forgiveness Week has had on other Pacific nations in the new edition of Robert Warren’s book now entitled Floodgates of Glory: the Wonder of Heartfelt Forgiveness. (Available from Kooroong.)In recent months there have been regular gatherings of senior elders up in the top end. In September many met again at the first IMLA (Indigenous Ministry Links Australia) conference with Carl Musch and were inspired prophetically by words received through David McCracken.
