Victory in the Spirit of Elijah

How do we see God’s victory over the curses on our families and land?
Forgiveness enables us to rise together in the power of multigenerational agreement with the will of God.

Our God is a Good Father

Our Creator God is, at heart, a good father who desires life abundant and eternal for all.
[Matthew 5:44-48, 7:7-11, 18:14, 23:9, 25:34, 28:18-20]

God has made covenant with Noah and Abraham that all generations, all the families of the earth shall be blessed. [Genesis 9: 12, 17, Acts 3:25]

Will you enter covenant with God as your Father and receive His blessing?
You may like to pause to listen to what God may be saying to you: Good, Good Father

Turn your Heart from Cursing to Blessing

Will you release blessings or curses on your children and land?

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life…”

Our heavenly Father’s desire is to bless the generations, so He instituted each father’s blessings on their children each Shabbat, as well as priestly blessing.

Numbers 6:21-27 21 “‘This is the law of the Nazirite who vows offerings to the Lord in accordance with their dedication, in addition to whatever else they can afford. They must fulfill the vows they have made, according to the law of the Nazirite.’” 22 The Lord said to Moses, 23 “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
24 “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’
27 “So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.”

When we bless each other, we acknowledge the face of God turned toward us in intimate relationship, grace and restoration to the fullness of complete shalom wholeness. Note that the priests were called to the dedicate themselves according to the vows of the Nazerite.

The Spirit of Elijah: a multigenerational agreement

God will free us from the curse on our land through the power of multigenerational agreement.

When the Spirit of Elijah was released on Elisha and he anointed Jehu as King a multi-generational blessing brought down the curse of the evil reign of Jezebel and Baal.  Principles can be gleaned from their focus and positioning so we can stand as one three cord strand in our families and nations.

2 Kings 2:1-10 “When the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.”

So they went down to Bethel. The company of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and asked, “Do you know that the Lord is going to take your master from you today?” “Yes, I know,” Elisha replied, “so be quiet.” Then Elijah said to him, “Stay here; the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.” And he replied, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.”

So the two of them walked on… When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?” “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.  “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.” …The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, ‘The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

2 Kings 9:6,13,22,33,36-37 “Jehu got up and went into the house. Then the prophet [Elisha] poured the oil on Jehu’s head and declared, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anoint you king over the Lord’s people Israel.” 13 They quickly took their cloaks and spread them under him on the bare steps. Then they blew the trumpet and shouted, “Jehu is king!”

22 When Joram saw Jehu he asked, “Have you come in peace, Jehu?” “How can there be peace,” Jehu replied, “as long as all the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound?” 33 “Throw her down!” Jehu said. So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered the wall and the horses as they trampled her underfoot. Jehu went in and ate and drank. 36-37 They went back and told Jehu, who said, “This is the word of the Lord that he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite: On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs will devour Jezebel’s flesh. Jezebel’s body will be like dung on the ground in the plot at Jezreel, so that no one will be able to say, ‘This is Jezebel.’” 2 Kings 10:28 “So Jehu destroyed Baal worship in Israel.”

The Promise of Elijah

Malachi 4:5-6 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

God promised that in the latter days the curse of spiritual evil on the land will be prevented IF we, as fathers and mothers turn our hearts to our children – the next generation, and IF they turn their hearts to us as natural and spiritual parents.

The Spirit of Elijah in Jesus’ time on earth

In the first fulfilment of this, God turned the heart of a priest, Zechariah to raise his son John as a Nazarite in the spirit and power of Elijah.
Luke 1:13-17 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.  He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth,  for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.  He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God.  And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. [Read Matthew 17:1-3, 10-14]

Jesus said, “To be sure, Elijah comes and will restore all things.” Matthew 17:11

The Spirit of Elijah in our time on earth – this 11th hour.

Jesus described the end of the age as a time of deception, rumors of wars, alarm, nation rising against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, famines and earthquakes in various places, persecution, being hated, many turning away from the faith and betraying and hating each other, and many false prophets appearing and deceiving many people and increasing wickedness, and the love of most growing cold. “but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:13-14

Paul warns us against allowing the work of the enemy in our midst – specifically describing characteristics of Jezebel, “idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:20-21

Do you see how much we need multi-generational agreement, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to overcome the strongholds principalities that we face in our hearts and culture today?

An Elijah generation is being repositioned in our time.

Increasingly in November 2021, I have understood that some of us, as elders, are being positioned in an ‘Elijah spirit’ calling. The Lord is taking us into the heavenly realm, in order to pray for and bless the Elisha and Jehu generations of our time. This does not rely on man’s appointment. God’s authority is released through our covenantal bond with Him and each other. It is God’s sovereign supernatural grace binds us as many parts together as one in heaven and earth.

Jesus described the power of our agreement with God’s will in His kingdom come on earth. (Matthew 6:10, 25:18-20) In the leading and power of the Spirit of God, we can turn to each other and see what God sees – across generations, genders and ethnic race. Then we can see each other’s perspective and role. Then we can agree as one. Then we can complete our God given assignments in our nations at this crucial time and release our Father’s blessing to our families, neighbours and culture; and the geography of the land; and across time through multiple generations. Then the principalities and powers will lose their hold on the people and the land itself and the Lord will reign.

Ancient peoples are being repositioned in our time.

Our Creator God spoke the world into being. (Genesis 1) God spoke the destiny of the first peoples within the boundaries of their lands – that they might know Him. (Acts 17:24-29) Our Father released His song, which He is is still singing over us – a sound that is known in creation and all our spirits. (Zephaniah 3:17)

 Father 4

All over the world, the Israelites and other Indigenous peoples are being reconciled to our Creator God as Father and becoming able to forgive and receive the restorative reconciliation of God’s forgiveness. (Matthew 6:15)

Our Father is lifting up First Nations people, restoring the ancient peoples to their ancient paths, to fulfill the multigenerational destiny God prepared for them in their lands from the foundation of the earth. First Nations people are arising to hear and sing our Father’s song again – over their land and its present peoples so we can all arise to follow – as the sons of God that the creation is groaning for. (Romans 8:18-39)

This is both an invitation and a warning to heed what the Lord is saying. God is shaking us all free from our habitual thinking and patterns to follow His ways.
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is,
and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
I appointed watchmen over you and said,
‘Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’
But you said, ‘We will not listen.’
Therefore hear, you nations;
 you who are witnesses,
observe what will happen to them.”
(Jeremiah 6:16-18)

Will you express your gratitude to God and arise to know and bless and follow the First Nations peoples where you live?
May they arise strong and mighty, empowered for triumph, covered in fresh oil, devoted lovers, thriving, still overflowing and anointed even in their old age staying fresh, bearing luscious fruit and abiding faithfully, in beautiful strength! (Psalm 92 TPT)

The Spirit of Elijah is evident in these multigenerational victories.

Example 1: Our Victory through Forgiveness.

Forgiveness is key in all relationships. The Spirit of Elijah sets the posture for reconciliation to take place – including repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation between people and between the generations.  Jesus described the humility of a loving father’s forgiveness. If we will receive God as Father, His forgiveness enables us to turn to each other and forgive one another. As we forgive, we are set free from the destructive power of unforgiveness and can receive the God’s full restoration.

The Abdallah Family illustrate the power of multigenerational forgiveness in Australia right now. Leila & Daniel Abdallah lost 3 of their children and niece Veronique when a driver mounted the footpath near their home. Danny said their spontaneous act to forgive the driver of the car came from how their own parents had positioned them in prayerfulness and forgiveness when they were growing up. The i4give Movement has arisen from the Abdullah’s forgiveness.

Example 2: Our Victory over Sexual Abuse.

A Christian grandmother and mother have been desperately trying to address the ongoing sexual abuse of a 7 year old girl by her father on weekend visitations. Protection was obstructed for years by State social services and the courts. The church elders resisted acting to protect this child for years – and failed to deal with generations of sexual abuse impacting this and other families.
This grandmother claimed the multigenerational victory told in 1 Samuel 17. When young David came in front of the army of King Saul to take on the giant Goliath, he came “in the name of the Lord” and the authority of His family and King! God provided all he needed – 5 stones – to bring down Goliath and all the other giants in the land. It was finished in God’s timing. On 23.11.21 we had the good news that Child Protection has acted!

Example 3: Our Victory over Accusation and Division in the Church.

The enemy of God seeks to deceive, accuse, steal, kill and destroy – and has used Covid-19 to bring physical separation between families, church and state and global communities and even more damaging, ideological, political and spiritual division. Jesus spoke of times of deception, fear, division and betrayal before the end. (Luke 21:7-28, Matthew 24:3-31.) Idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions and heresies have no place in the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:20-21)
“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:25-26

“Wise up Church You’re Under Attack” by Lyn Parker – November 2021.

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6

Blessing you in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to keep looking up to receive God’s blessing, power, authority and victory in your family, neighbourhood and nation.

Notes from my journal: 9.11.21-23.11.21

Tuesday 9.11.21

We are being called to closely follow Jesus in a new season, a new structure and a new way – apart from the crowds. What God is doing in these days is powerfully pictured in

Isaiah 9:1-7 TPT “No more gloom for those who are in distress! Although the Lord greatly humbled the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, he will one day bestow upon them great honor—from the Mediterranean eastward to the other side of the Jordan and throughout the Galilee of the gentiles. Those who walked in darkness have seen a radiant light shining upon them. They once lived in the shadows of death, but now a glorious light has dawned! Lord, you have multiplied the nation and given them overwhelming joy! They are ecstatic in your presence and rejoice like those who bring in a great harvest and those who divide up the spoils of victory! For you have broken the chains that have bound your people and lifted off the heavy bar across their shoulders, the rod the oppressor used against them. You have shattered all their bondage, just as you did when Midian’s armies were defeated. Every boot of marching troops    and every uniform caked with blood will be burned as fuel for the fire.A child has been born for us; a son has been given to us. The responsibility of complete dominion will rest on his shoulders, and his name will be: The Wonderful One! The Extraordinary Strategist! The Mighty God! The Father of Eternity! The Prince of Peace! Great and vast is his dominion. He will bring immeasurable peace and prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom to establish and uphold it by promoting justice and righteousness from this time forward and forevermore.  The marvellous passion that the Lord Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, has for his people will ensure that it is finished!

Wednesday 10.11.21

Song of Songs 6:12 TPT “Then suddenly my longings transported me. My divine desire brought me next to my beloved prince, sitting with him in his royal chariot. We were lifted up together!”

We are at a stepping off point where the Lord is inviting us, “Will you come with Me?”
[On 10.11.21 I step down from Prayer Call leadership and participation in the early morning watch for a season on the basis of this call and in the context of accelerated roles and fatigue. There are broader implications too, on other roles I have been carrying.]

You may like to pause to listen to what God may be saying to you:
We did this as we listened to: Hiraeth by Clare Bell

Thursday 11.11.21

“I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly. I will carry you forth!”
The son is coming. Hallelujah! The Son is coming!
11-11 is a threshold. The door posts shake – the entrance way for a King!
It is an 11th hour call.

Friday 12.11.21

“What do you want Me to say? I am come.”
[Jesus is saying He is present and has spoken and it is enough.]
You may like to pause to listen to what God may be saying to you:
We did this as we listened to: Heal our Land

Monday 15.11.21

On 15.11.21, we met with the team from i4give and held the revelation that Leila Abdallah is 5 months pregnant with their 7th child. Danny said they could only have another child because forgiveness had restored their hope.

“My son, my daughter, I am with you to be the light in your city, to love as I love, heal as I heal, speak as I speak. I am with you to lead and provide and linger. You are My child and I delight Myself in you.”
It is in this context of multigenerational blessing that on 15.11.21 we took authority over the spirit of antichrist and bring down strongholds in our Prayer for Victoria. 1 John 4, Ephesians 6

Tuesday 16.11.21

“Will you come?” … [A specific personal request was made of me.] “Step up for Me.” I do not share the specific request because disclosing it could seem manipulative – but it was a call that costs me. The Lord sometimes asks these kinds of questions as a test of surrender, or our will to go where the Lord calls – whether or not an actual call comes. This call will probably be a long-term commitment. Is my life-time still long enough time to fulfill this? What would I need to let go of to do this? Any call is a call to the Lord – and it is enough to come to Him on a matter, however this is measured and despite whether it is evident on earth.

The necessity to shift when God calls was illustrated in a vision I was immediately given. I was standing on an empty mezzanine. It is empty because it is only transitional to the new level we are being called to operate from. I saw there was a safety net and friends who gave me hand up. Once there we sat around together – seated in heavenly authority, comfortably and relaxed. I realise that if God has called us elsewhere and we try to stay where we are – the present becomes empty of meaning and the anointing fades.

You may like to pause to listen to what God may be saying to you:
We did this as we listened to: Into the Water – “to rise again and live a brand new life.”

Let us stand together multi-generationally in seeking and trusting our Lord Yeshua’s timing for His victory over His enemies. In Victoria, we pray God will release us from current political and legislative injustice. “Let my people go, that they may serve God.” I heard, “You have worshipped Me, and I put my foot down.” [God has heard our sacrifice of worship and our prayers and is asserting His authority over His enemy.]

Wednesday 17.11.21

“Will you step up?” …(repeat of specific personal request from yesterday]
“I want you there to love them.”
To love them is an ongoing calling whether we have an official role or not.

“You’ll be surprised at what I am about to do. I am the Lord Most High.”
I see rain in the spirit – that flattens waves and I jump into the water from a height feeling the depth and bubbles.
“Hold Leila.” [ from i4give family and  ovement.] As I did this, I felt the Lord holding us – as when Rob Warren recently said during 9ur NFW prayer that he felt he was wrapping his arms around the NFW community and we felt the Lord holding us collectively. We are all called to love each other and to hold each other in comfort, encouragement and steadfastness but this was a specific assignment – personal to Leila but also symbolic of holding her family and calling.  I have continued to “hold Leila” in times of contemplative prayer each day since. What joy!

“Your 11th hour mission.” We are specifically being given an 11th hour call to bring the gospel to Australia through the message of forgiveness.

Thursday 22.11.21

A personal word from Linda Straw which you are welcome to receive also.
Isaiah 54:2-3 “Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger. You will increase and spread out in every direction. Your sons and daughters will conquer nations and revitalize desolate cities.”

During our prayer for Victoria, I had a vision of a stirrings (wind/waves) against a tall and thick wall beside Victoria. After a while, as we worshipped and prayed, I saw a little door open. Later the wall feel sideways – like a power symbol statue torn down.

You may like to pause to listen to what God may be saying to you:
We did this as we listened to: Make Room – “break down the walls of all my resistance and religion.”
We will Ride

Do you feel the mountain tremble?

Friday 23.11.21

Repositioning for the future. Stepping up as Elijah to release the next generations.
On 23.1.21 Melissa Haigh & Dexter Low shared about Elijah, Elisha and Jehu. This is not a new thought, but in the context of the previous days it was freshly highlighted.

The Holy Spirit connected the dots of what God had been saying to me.
Multigenerational agreement is how we can get breakthrough in the church, in the forgiveness movement in each nation, in Victoria right now.

You may like to pause to listen to what God may be saying to you:
We did this as we listened to: Moving – “This fresh wind we don’t want to miss it.  My God is moving. He is shifting everything. I don’t want to miss it.”
“You will not miss it. You are at the centre of my heart.” I saw a rosebud.
I recalled the words, “Don’t leave home without it” (An American Express ad about the advantages of being a member.) It meant to me, “Don’t move without the Holy Spirit – be a member of one Spirit, one body. (1Corinthians 12:13)

I saw and am still constantly seeing a golden globe like a womb – a shield around the Abdallah baby, family and i4give forgiveness movement in Australia. I see it lit by apricot light – blessings. In the days since then I have seen this image shift to a wider and wider impact and a drumbeat – in the rhythm of a heartbeat is sounding in the land.
By 28.22.21 it is like a heartbeat reverberating across the nation.
You may like to declare the stand you will take:
